International-Qualifications (IQ)

As a regulated awarding organisation, IQ has over 200 regulated qualifications currently available to IQ centres in a wide variety of sectors. Furthermore, centres can work with expert developers from IQ, to create their own customised qualification(s), tailored to different needs. Major sectors among others, where IQ is currently operating across the world, include:-

Learning Materials - IQ sources and supplies high quality learning materials to complement IQ’s qualifications, giving centres the freedom to choose the support that’s right for them.

Skills Card - IQ’s skills card scheme contains key information about each owner and is intended to act as a verifier of the qualifications they hold to anyone who scans the QR code. This would essentially be of immense help to employers, as it would identify specific skills within a subject and quantify the same in respect of prospective employees.

European Qualifications Framework - IQ qualifications are referenced to the EQF, which enables a comparison for qualifications across the European Union.

Organisational Certification - IQ Verify - IQ Verify, IQ operates to ISO17021 (certification of management systems) and ISO17065 (certification of products and services), which is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), and provides a range of ISO assessments and certifications for companies and organisations. These two standards allow IQ Verify to certify organizational management systems, products and services to ISO, National or Industry standards.

PROCEDURE

• The procedure involves approval of an organisation as an IQ Center for rendering identified qualifications. Qualifications on offer are approved by the UK regulator, Ofqual (the UK Regulator of school education and vocational qualifications). In addition, the IQ Customised Qualifications Framework (CQF) provides significant opportunities for the development of sector qualifications in India.
• International standards are achieved by conduct of external verification and customisation of the training/ assessments. The External Veri_cation (EV) process, maintains checks on the conduct of training and will regulate the vocational training and skill development arena.
